Volunteer at this years Annual Show and SFP will pay for your 2024 CDS Membership!
In appreciation for those who are willing to commit to volunteering for one full day, or two half days, our “thanks” will be to pay your 2024 CDS membership.
To our knowledge, no show has ever done this, but it means a lot to us to have committed and dependable volunteers. Both current CDS Members and non-members are eligible.
Here’s how the SFP Annual Show Super Star Volunteer Program works:
- Contact Gigi Noerr, Show Manager, at gigic9@aol.com or (650) 796-3355.
- Commit to working at least one full day or two half days.
- Sign a volunteer form and waivers.
The SFP Annual Show Super Star Volunteer Program is first come, first serve for the first ten volunteers, so sign up ASAP.
Depending on what you volunteer to do, we may schedule training prior to the show, either on zoom or in person.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Scribes – Judges prefer the same person both days, if possible; scribe experience preferred.
- Scorers – Do scoring of completed tests.
- Ring Stewards – Supervise warm up arenas.
- Awards Desk – Help organize and give out awards and tests.
- Hospitality – Handle judges’ lunches and snacks
- Runners – Pick up tests from the Judges’ booths and deliver to the Scorer in the Office.
- Parking Attendant – Direct people where to go, car parking area or trailer parking area.
- Stable Monitor – Handle stabling questions.
- Set up before the show and take-down after the show.
All volunteers are welcome and appreciated! If you can’t commit to the SFP Annual Show Super Star Volunteer Program, but you CAN volunteer for a few hours, please let us know. Even a few hours are fun, and all volunteers receive great thank you gifts!
